Kelly Slater on his opponent Cory Lopez (Indian Rocks Beach) who got
the best of their last two encounters by beating Kelly in the Semi-Finals
of the Pipe Masters event last month (Dec.'04) in Hawaii and winning
the better side of their recent competitive exchange, Thursday (Jan.
6) when the two Surfers met in the final of the Globe Sebastian Inlet
Pro, Indian River, Florida. The Globe Sebastian Inlet Pro is the first
event on the 2005 ASP World Tour schedule and the single highest rated
World Qualifying event (3 Star WQS) to ever be staged in Florida Waters
- returning major league surfing to Florida after almost a 12 year
