A Surfing Poem By Hannah Chehab

Oh why do I love the waves that crush thee?
Beautiful shells, sandy ground blue ocean
For I am no match to the great vast sea.
But Surfing the waves with a perplex motion

Flabbergasted fishes swimming away
I’m jumping like blissful round nose dolphins
Joy runs with the fishes like toddlers play
All the waves dancing like marry Popins

Sharks in their territory oh so glad
That their neighbors gleefully clean them
After their cleanse they don’t have the mash
Keeping from looking like a dazzling jem

Joyful, I’m riding the waves while all spy
Dolphins, sea horses, clownfish and octopi
