Thursday May 5th Anna Maria Island 7:45am: Waist high+ and building as we come off the low tide and the water starts to fill in with high tide at 10:57am and and a low this afternoon at 4:53pm locally. Surf is just starting to fill in and has a little morning sickness as the water fills in. Winds will be cranking (are all ready now) all day and over night. This will have the surf choppy and drifty so wind protection may be in order. Kiters will find plenty of ripe winds today and tomorrow, that should keep those kites pumped. I'll up date as conditions change later. Have a surfy surfy day! -- Tommy D. Gulf Temp 77°
