Friday October 31st Anna Maria Island 8:30am -- Trick or treat, Happy Halloween! As forecasted, looks like quite the treat for the GC, but we'll have a little wind to contend with, just a little! Surf currently in the shin high range and building. Winds will continue to increase from the NW as we move through the afternoon and over night. Waking up Saturday we'll be greeted with blustery winds and chunky surf. Drifty conditions for the exposed spots, but those breaks with wind protection should be lit up. Winds will continue over Saturday night and veer more to the N/NE by Sunday morning. As strong as this front is and as hard as the wind is going to crank, it looks like Sunday's clean up could be really fun with plus sizes than forecasted. Kiters will obviously have ripe riding conditions through tomorrow, be safe! May have to break out the top suits as temps may not get much over 60 degrees. Have a fun and a safe Halloween! Tommy D. More small surf for will be on tap for Saturday morning. By Saturday afternoon swell should start to fill in.
